Commemoration of 16 Days of Activism 2025

Girls 4 Change Community (G4CC) Project
This ongoing, foundation-funded intervention focused on sensitising girls in ten secondary schools on digital safety to prevent online sexual and gender-based violence, alongside human rights awareness and pathways for seeking accountability and support in cases of abuse. The initiative was implemented by Dibal Foundation.

Girls 4 Change Community (G4CC) Project
This ongoing Dibal Foundation–funded activity targeted girls aged 9–17 through structured sessions on personal hygiene, career choice and guidance, and internet safety, aimed at promoting healthy living, confidence, informed future planning, and responsible digital engagement.
International Day of the Girl Child 2025
Held on 9 October 2025
Girls 4 Change Community (G4CC) Project
Held at Government Girls Secondary School Badawa, Nasarawa LGA, Kano State, this foundation-funded event engaged girls aged 9–17 in activities centred on personal development, self-awareness, and leadership, marking the global celebration of the International Day of the Girl Child.
World Environment Day 2025 Community Sensitisation Outreach.
Conducted on 28 June 2025
Held in Tokarawa Community, Nasarawa LGA, Kano State, this project involved community sensitisation—particularly among women—on environmental protection strategies, waste-to-wealth initiatives, and climate change awareness. The intervention was jointly funded by Aspira Nigeria Limited and Dibal Foundation.


Improving Health Surveillance in Climate Change (IHSICC) Project
Implemented between January and November 2024
This project focused on climate change–related tropical communicable diseases, with specific attention to cholera. The intervention was supported by GUISTA Health Foundation with funding from Grand Challenges Canada.
Live Radio Engagement on Prevention of Gender-Based Violence among Teenagers
Delivered in November 2024
This initiative featured a live radio discussion focused on preventive measures against gender-based violence among teenagers, led and funded by Dibal Foundation.
Live Television and Online Engagement on Prevention of Gender-Based Violence among Teenagers
Conducted in November 2024
This project involved a live appearance on Times TV and Facebook online platforms, addressing awareness and prevention of gender-based violence among teenagers, implemented by Dibal Foundation.
Self-Defence Training for Women and Girls against Gender-Based Violence
Implemented in October 2024
This done across Fagge and Nasarawa Local Government Areas of Kano State, this foundation-funded project provided practical self-defence training to women and girls to strengthen personal safety and resilience against gender-based violence.


Seminar on Domestic Violence and Child Neglect for Teenagers
Held in October 2024
This seminar reached 80 teenagers and addressed issues of domestic violence and child neglect. The intervention was jointly implemented by Dibal Foundation and Royal Bethel Foundation.
Training on Gender Stereotypes and Combating Sexual Abuse
Delivered in April 2024
This project trained 400 teenagers in partnership with TEENS STANDOUT and Tessy, focusing on challenging gender stereotypes and preventing sexual abuse. The initiative was supported by Dibal Foundation and Tessy.
Community Sensitisation on Human Rights and Police Accountability
Conducted in December 2022
International Human Rights Day 2022
This activity sensitised communities on human rights and the role of the Police Public Complaint and Response Unit (PPCRU). The project was supported by Amnesty International Nigeria.
Photo Exhibition on Human Rights Abuses
Held in December 2022
International Human Rights Day 2022
This project featured a photo exhibition highlighting human rights abuses and the impact of violent policing on civilians, with support from Amnesty International Nigeria.


Research on Women’s Participation in the 2023 General Elections in Kano State
Completed in October 2022
This research examined the participation of women in electoral processes and was jointly implemented by A&JBD Foundation and Women in Media.
International Peace Day 2022 Commemoration with Youth
Held in September 2022
This event engaged youth from Maiduguri Metropolitan Council (MMC) and Jere Local Government Areas of Borno State in peacebuilding activities, implemented by A&JBD Foundation.
International Youth Day 2022 Commemoration
Conducted in August 2022
This youth-focused engagement involved young people from MMC and Jere LGAs in Borno State, organised by A&JBD Foundation.
Data Collection on the Impacts of Violent Policing in Kano State
Implemented between April and July 2022
This project formed part of the Safer Policing Initiative (SPI): Seen Through My Eyes, focusing on documenting the impacts of violent policing. The work was supported by Amnesty International Nigeria.


Policing Environment and Police Oversight and Accountability Scooping Exercise
Carried out in May 2023
This initiative involved participation with selected CSOs and CBOs to assess policing environments and accountability needs in Kano State, supported by UNODC.

An ongoing initiative implemented in partnership with NOPRIN (Network on Police Reform in Nigeria), focusing on monitoring, documenting, and reporting cases of human rights abuses and gender-based violence.
