At the Dibal Foundation, we remain committed to promoting gender equality and empowering women as catalysts for sustainable development. In commemoration of International Women’s Day 2026, we successfully hosted a meaningful outreach in Maiduguri, bringing together women, partners, and community stakeholders to celebrate progress and inspire continued action.
The Theme: Rights, Justice and Action for ALL Women and Girls
This year’s theme, “Rights, Justice and Action for ALL Women and Girls” underscores the urgent need to advance equality through deliberate efforts that protect rights, promote fairness, and drive impactful change. It calls for inclusive participation and sustained commitment to ensuring that no woman or girl is left behind.
The Focus: Empowerment and Inclusion
Aligned with this theme, our initiative centred on amplifying the voices of women and promoting inclusive opportunities. The programme emphasised the importance of education, digital inclusion, and community participation as key drivers for women’s advancement in today’s evolving world.
Strategic Partnerships for Greater Impact
This impactful initiative was delivered in partnership with Save the Children International, Yakudima Women and Children Foundation, and Women’s Digital Futures Africa. Through this collaboration, we leveraged shared expertise and resources to create a more holistic and far-reaching engagement for participants.

The event featured interactive sessions, awareness discussions, and empowerment-focused engagements designed to inspire confidence and practical growth. Participants were encouraged to actively contribute, share experiences, and explore opportunities for personal and community development.
